InfoComm 2014, attracted over 37,000 audiovisual professionals at this year’s Las Vegas event in June. The record attendance boded well for first time Australian exhibitor CombiTel which launched its range of digital screen solution Omniscreen to delegates from 114 countries.

According to Combitel CEO Eugene Razbash, significant interest was generated from the aged care sector who were interested in Omni Screen's applications that facilitate digitally enhanced solutions for nursing homes and aged care facilities.  “A stand out application was the dining app with its user friendly remote control functionality.  Delegates were impressed by the simplicity of our user interface that separates very complex meta data driven software solution, whilst providing very simple functionality and a simple way to access the product,” Razbash said.

The Omniscreen Pilot, developed by CombiTel is an enterprise television and digital signage application server that is adaptable as a stand alone appliance or cloud based SaaS offering. Exhibition visitors were also impressed by the solution’s ability to integrate with various in-house authentication platforms and in house user directories.

“The investment in InfoComm was very valuable to the expansion of our global reach. We have  started establishing relationships with many dealers, distributors and potential agents who are enthusiastic about taking our product to North American markets,” Razbash reported.

Delegates from Canada, Mexico and the United States displayed the strongest interest in CombiTel’s services. Razbash added that while some exhibitors were concerned that the conference was being held at the same time as the start of the World Cup, the parallel programming actually served to attract bigger crowds with large screen displays showcasing football coverage driving traffic to stands.
